PBGB Goes Retro

I have always been an avid fan of vintage and retro style. That’s why I was excited when it was announced that PBGB (Plant Breeding, Genetics and Biotechnology Division)’s Christmas Party will go retro even if our sub-unit already had the same theme 2 years ago. And true enough, retro-themed parties never go out of style.

We had the freedom to choose from 1920s to 1980s fashion. I wanted to portray elegance (charaught) even just for a night, so I carefully selected the 1920-style.

After a series of research, I finally settled on this look…

 

 

… but the words finesse and dainty do not exist in my vocabulary.

 

 

Despite the epic-fail portrayal of elegance and beauty, I somehow managed to be nominated for the night’s best dressed award:
